Spring Issue out in March 2026
Writing Competition
Winner
We asked for a short story with the title 'A Winter Visitor'.
We are very proud to announce our new winners of Muir Matters writing competition. The short stories can be read in the Winter issue.
The winner for under-16 is 10 year old Iona Warren.

Our first adult winner for the poem competition is Tom Thomson.
Congratulations to both winners!

Photography Competition
Winner
Congratulations to Dave Chandler, winner of the photography competition from our Summer issue. Their photo from the path to Loch nam Bonnach makes a fabulous Winter front cover.
The winning picture is on display in the library, alongside the other top 3 entries, from Linda Reid (2nd) and Marion MacCaskill (3rd).

Tasha Smith (4th) and Frank Stephen (5th) made up the top 5 out of 17 entries in total.

Codeword Puzzle Winner
Thank you to everyone who took part with the Codeword Puzzle. We had 16 entries! Congratulations to Corinne from Contin who solved the Codeword puzzle of our Autumn issue and won the tea/coffee and cake for two people from the Estate of Ord.
